God is Still Good

It is with a mixture of sadness and rejoicing that we share the results of our entry into the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. We were not accepted as a semi-finalist in the film festival, which means our film will not be shown at this year's SAICFF in San Antonio.

We are sad that it did not make it into the SAICFF, but we rejoice in so many things. First and most important, we rejoice in the providence of God; although we don't yet know the future of this film, we know God does. This seeming defeat just reinforces that this film is NOT about how good we are at anything, but rather that this film is and always should be about the gospel. Then there are our earthly blessings: hearing all the adoption stories, rejoicing and crying through each one; working with each of the families; watching and enjoying the creative talents of our composers and artist; learning so much about the film making process, working together as a family; seeing God's providence through the wildfires and helping us complete the film; and growing in myriad other ways. We are grateful that you were willing to share this journey with us; your prayers kept us going and helped us complete this film.

We would ask that you continue to pray for us. We plan to enter this film in other festivals, and more importantly we are seeking other avenues where the message of sharing the gospel through adoption can be heard.

To God alone be the glory.

Randy, Pat, Caleb, and Lisa

  1. Sorry to hear this and we are praying for more opportunities to share this documentary with a wonderful message. Can we still buy on Blue Behemoth soon?
